Heya guys,
I have been thinking of flies to tie for black bass on Mead. With the lead core shooting head system I use, I can get to the bottom pretty fast, even in fairly deep water. I also have been thinking of how to make a senko type fly to fish on a dry line. Here is what I came up with at my bench tonight. Just as a note... I am sure these flies exist have been tied somewhere, by someone before, I just haven't seen them. The main problem I've always had w/ rabbit strips is they foul so easily on the hook... I am hoping the "texas rigged" style strip with the lead eyes to make the hook ride upwards doesn't foul on the long tail. The other fly is simply a rabbit strip with a piece of heavy mono superglued to keep it stiff. The mono is purposely left shorter than the strip so the two ends will flutter.

The second fly is going to be "whacky rigged" to a hook tied to the fly leader and fished like a senko. Any weight added will be split shots on leader.
Gonna try'n get to Floyd Lamb sometime this week and give 'em a test. These are prototypes.. if I get some action on them, I'll definately tweak colors, eyes, etc.
