I can understand what your saying. But SFCR is a lot the same. While SFCR does have shallow flats in some areas most of the res is very deep and steep with mostly rocks and shale shore line. Almost no weed growth at all in SFCR. If it has weeds I haven't seen them. The res does have algae blooms that starts about the first of July. The green slim makes it almost un fishable.
I can see where your coming up with your thoughts on Ririe but I am thinking that just won't happen. Like I said before, IDFG have said many times that Walleyes don't reproduce in any of the lakes they currently plant them. I just don't see the walleyes being that productive. And also Like I have said before the walleyes are going to be a food source for bass and trout. I just don't think the walleyes will take over the lake due to there history of poor reproduction in Idaho. Until the F&G find all age classes it might be a tiger musky type of thing. Yes they are an apex predator but they can't live forever. If guys start catching a lot of small walleyes then your thoughts will probably be closer to what will eventually happen. I would recommend that guys go catch some walleyes. Ron
