light line vs. heavy line
#38
This is the best advice I've read so far. Much better than the Lone Hunter's! Haha. [angelic]

I've got extra spools of line ready for my Pfluegger. I've got 30 lb test on one (use it in the Mississippi below the dam, never know what size carp or cat you'll hook into and hafta pull up 30 feet from the water). I also use the heavy line for when I'm throwing my frogs into the scum for them largemouth's. Nothin' like ripping out the roots of lillypads while reeling in one of them babies!

I use the 8 lb line when I'm in my friends boat and we're playin' around the weedline. Or, for panfish, I've got two reels that I keep with me on my light rod. I usually keep the 6 lb line on that one because of previous surprises with carp and cats as well. Also had to uproot some weeds with it as well. Hehe.

As soon as I'm more secure with my fishing abilities I'll probably start using the 2 lb line again.
