beginner baitcasting reel

[font "Comic Sans MS"][#008000]Hi Campbell - The Shamino Callisto is a two bearing reel priced which is their least expensive line. Six years ago I bought a Shimano Curado which at over $150 should last me a life time. Certainly now that I'm exclusively into fly fishing it go on a ticking. My philosophy is if its worth while get the best that I can afford at the time. BTW my previous reel was from the 40's that belong to my Dad. It now sits on a shelf having seen better day. My thought would be to use a spinning outfit until I could afford a better system. BassPro lists several baitcasters under $50. Unforunately I can't recommend any of them, but perhaps someone on the fresh water board might be able to help you out. Good luck.[/#008000][/font]
