boat carpet and upholstery??
#7
I had never done anything like this before, and ended up doing the carpet in my old boat. It was a lot easier than I had expected. I actually bought a roll of indoor-outdoor carpet that is sun and oil resistant from Costco. I think they usually start carrying it right about this time of year. It was a perfect fit for my boat, but would be a bit short if the floor in the boat was much bigger. I didn't have to do a lot of cutting at all. I just bought a can of the glue at Boater's Outlet (they also have carpet) on about 7200 S.

It's really easy. Just pull the seats out of your boat and anything else you can remove before working with the carpet. It's usually only a few screws to remove the seats. You will need the seats out anyway if you are recovering them.

I also looked at recovering the seats but the wood on mine were rotting so I found a good deal online for brand new back-to-back seats.
