Walleye Hunter. Have you ever seen SFCR? The creek below the dam is at least 150 foot drop. The F&G have done surveys on this creek and no walleye were ever found. Could there be some? Maybe but I doubt it. I have fished it many times and never caught them there. The dam over flowed once in the 1980's but Walleye don't hang out in that area of the dam that much from what I have heard.
So now your down to going after them. Ice has just came off the lake from what I have heard. For me I don't even think about going after them until the last part of May if it is warm or the first part of June. I do know that some guys have been having luck earlier but as cold as it is I just don't see you having much luck but I might be wrong. I hate to pop your bubble but it is snowing and cold here. I don't think you are going to have much luck with walleye. The perch and trout might play with your bait. Ron
