[cool]I don't know about a local source of supply, but both of the pics I posted came from the Cabela's website. $29 for the small Berkley gripper and $9.99 for the plastic orange model.
I have used a lot of gloves for fishing. Down in the Sea of Cortez, where you catch a fish per cast, and most of them have sharp points, I just wear a glove continuously on my left (reeling) hand. I cut the ends out of the thumb and first couple of fingers at the first knuckle, to improve feel and to allow knot tieing without having to remove the glove.
I use the gloved left hand to handle the smaller fish and a net for the larger. At the end of a long day of fishing, my left hand is much healthier if I wear a glove. If I don't, I usually get a bad case of "fish rash".
