Back from AZ
#4
[cool][#0000ff]Congrats on a good trip. I lived down in Chandler (suburb of Phoenix) for several years and fished both Saguaro and Bartlett a lot. Really miss it about this time of year. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Those bass in Saguaro get big and nasty. I was fishing out around the buoy line at Butcher Jones area one time when they planted some rainbows. The newly dumped hatchery pets schooled up and were swimming on the surface a short distance from shore. That rang the dinner bell for the bass and several HUGE largies started busting on those rainbows like yellowfin tuna on sardines. Monstrous boils. I did not have a big crank or plastic tied on and by the time I was geared up the bass had eaten or scattered the trout. Game over.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]There are some real toads in Saguaro. Here is a picture of a 17.5 pounder that was taken in February one year. (Not me in the picture. Too bad)[/#0000ff]
