My secret is that despite being a crappy fisherman I catch tons of fish simple because I target uneducated fish most of the time. Fish that seldom see another angler aren't very hard to catch. Now I really do this because when I fish I like to get away from crowds and have my solitude. But a byproduct of seeking solitude is that catching a hundred pounds of trout in an afternoon becomes fairly routine during the warmer 6 months of the year.
