Great day on the Big Water. We fished the NATA Open (which was a fantastic tournament put on by a fantastic club) out of Goosepond, which pulled 58 boats. Great turnout considering the BFL and FOM had tournaments on the G. Had been on some fish last week, but went fishless the first 3 hours in those areas. We punted to Plan C, and ended up boating 18 keepers in two seperate areas. Water temps ranged from 38-43 degrees, and caught fish anywhere from 2'-8'. Hit the scales and our best 5 went a rock solid 21.96 lbs. That was good enough for 1st place, and $1000. 2nd place was 20.9 lbs, and 3rd was 19+ lbs. Big Fish was 7.8 lb brute by the 3rd place team.
An amazing day on Guntersville, and this week should be absolutely dynamite. See y'all on the water!
