To a point I have no issues with people keeping their limit. On species with no limit, I have seen this abused. A couple years ago we were fishing the usual spot on Strike all winter, keeping a dozen crappie each trip for the frying pan. All the sudden there were 35 boats there one weekend, instead of the 3 usual boats. I watched most of the newcomers fill coolers full of crappie. Literally hundreds of fish per boat. I heard 2 guys bragging about keeping 172 fish between the 2 of them. If the 30+ boats each kept 150 fish that is 4500 fish in one day. I know not everyone got caught up in the frenzy, but I can tell you that within 2 weeks the fishing on that sopt sucked. I have fished there 6 times this winter and got no crappie, and just a couple bass. I think that spot is ruined for the time being. That being said, how many guysneed to wack 150 fish per trip? I know for a fact those guys don't just take that $15,000.00 boat out once a year. How many fish do we need to kill? I like the comments from the guys like Chrome Junky that say they will kill what they are going to eat in the next week or so...
