I need to know what I did wrong. Last time we went out we caught a few perch and the way that they were cooked did not do them justice. For all the trouble I went through to take care of them to get them ready to cook the end product just wasn't as good as a trout. Let me know.
My favorite way to cook a trout is on a grill, filleted. I season with lemon salt and pepper, some lemon juice, more black pepper, and my favorite seasoning is dill weed, if it looks like it has too much dill weed it's just right. Of course I have the grill hot with Alder wood chips smoking when I put them in. Depending on the outside temperature it usually takes 10 to 15 minutes to get them done, without turning. I have got people that don't like fish to try them and usually am sorry I did, because then have to share more of mine with them. [
