How Many is enough?

well, I guess this proves me wrong once again. I kind of thought no matter how we put it, it all boiled down to we are all out there fishing for the same reasons but really, not all of us are fishing for the same reasons/outcome. I still think most are out for "recreation/relaxation/medication/meditation/spiritual" and I guess that doesn't even maybe come into play when some set out although at some point it does come into play on the outing I am sure. Oh yes, catching fish is definately part of it for everyone, because without that there would be no attraction. But some have other reasons for setting out in the first place. And I am really just refering to your average lower 48 joe for the comparisions. I have been upset for being skunked, absolutley, but it has never truly ruined an outing as it may for some. No, not everyone who keeps fish has had their outing ruined by being skunked, but there are different reasons we fish and that kind of sunk in from this thread.

I do not think a two fish limit would deter me or really influence my choice of fishing one place over another with a higher limit. Maybe, but I don't think so. I hadn't given that thought before. I think you are right in that it will deter some. Artificials only waters have influenced my decisions, both ways in the past and will continue to do so depending on what I want to do, how lazy I want to be, who I am going with, time of year, etc. Give me an artifical only water in late July, August and I am happy as punch. Throw that at me on a cold day and I may not stick around long if the fish aren't biting. Yep, catching has some to do with it in the outcome at times.
