Mussel Aware Boating Progrem Reminder
#32
I showed them the one I had done and they said they had their own, the Gorge had their own + the state of Ut. has the ones you must do at each ramp...

Witch I do, but what I don't understand is why or who wants the one you are talking about and why some say we must show it but no one at any of the lakes want to see it..
[#000050]All I know is that the rules state that you must either fill one out at the boat ramp certifiying that you have properly self decontaminated your boat or do the annual permit on line and place it on your dash of the tow vehicle when launching. You are not required to go find a DWR employee to look at it.[/#000050]
[#000050]Utah's "game plan" is to educate all boaters about invasive species and ask all boaters to be aware and decontaminate their equipment so we don't import the problem into the rest of our lakes. Lake Powell is governed a little different and have their own permits and set of rules. They are governed by the GlenCanyon National Recreational Area Management. The online certificates and self certification are not valid at Powell and you are not allowed to launch without being screened by trained personnel at Waweep, Main and Bullfrog. You can see the details at the DWR's website under "mussels".[/#000050]
[#000050]And, the certificates are good at the Gorge.[/#000050]
