![[Image: surprised.gif]](http://www.bigfishtackle.com/images/gforum/surprised.gif) Idaho DF&G stocked Lahontan cutthroat trout as fry I believe for several years in Mud Lake. Enough survived to grow up and make a spawning run up Camas Creek. Spawning was probably iffy. Because Lahontan cutts evolved in an environment high in dissolved minerals and a high pH they thought they might do well in Mud Lake which had similar high alkalinity. However, with Mud Lake winter killing every several years, they may have stopped stocking them. Wish I had had time to have caught one to cross off my list. I have caught Bonneville, Snake River Fine spotted, Yellowstone and West Slope sub-species of cutts but never a Lahontan.
