With this being my first season fishing at Ririe, I have found the mornings around 8-10am quite productive. I usually like to get there before light just to get the spot I want. But since you guys are new, what I would do is get close to where other people are congregating. Kokanee swim in schools, and usually where there are more fisherman the Kokanee are occupied for longer, equating into more fish being caught. You can also learn a ton from the other fisherman, because most are seasoned on Ririe. Most people are really friendly and willing to share tips and strategies. If nothing else you can overhear a lot of what they do, and hear how deep the fish are.
Hope that is helpful.
If you want tips on lures or anything you can PM me and I'll share what I know.
