Made it out but the fish didn't get the memo. Fished near a couple of nice gents west of the rockpile and saw one school go through on the flasher at the 12-18 ft depth. Put my lure right in the middle of the mass and got one bump that may have only been a fish brushing my line. Saw a few loners suspended at various depths but as soon as I could get my gear to their level they would leave. Moved to the far shore line for a bit and spotted several fish suspended at 15-30 ft in 42 fow. I would drop the lure to them they would come in, then disappear. I would move to another fish at a different level and they would come back a minute later around the same depth. Ended up helping one guy that hooked a fish on one set up but he had reel problems when he tried to land it and it got off at the hole. He then proceeded to fix the lure but was getting bit on a 2nd rod. He had me hook the one on the 2nd rod and I landed a 12" cut. Threw him back in and that was it. Saw a few get light taps, but no other fish landed that I know of.
