i have fished eggs almost all my life on the henrys and southfork bottom bouncing with spinning gear or egg patterns on my fly rod. i have to say from my experiance right now is a tad too early for the fish to be keying in on egg patterns give it a little longer and let the fish start spawning a little and they will start hitting them more.
