Not sure why my favoirite but must say that elusive Muskie. Trout up the ying yang all around me but something about the Muskie. I also love the perch.
Perhaps it is the fact they are not readily caught where I do most of my fishing?
Catching and cooking a mess of perch doesn't seem to be as much of a detriment to the population as it is with a few trout.
I know there are put and take waters but catching those fresh hatchery rainbows doesn't really do it for the excitement as does a bunch of perch.
