The park service has begun dredging Boulder Harbor to restore functionality to the former launch site. They plan to have in completed in time for Memorial Day Weekend in late May of this year. The plan is to install the the launch ramp at an elevation of 1,069 feet.

"The National Park Service generally estimates that every 20-foot drop in water levels costs $6 million, Munoz said, because the boat launch ramps must be extended and crews are hired to do the work."
Judging by the pictures, the work doesn't look cheap.
