good job on proving the whole hotspoting thing wron this is a good example of what worked for some one else doesn't mean it will work for another.. And as for the crusty ice the stuf I came acros was by the dock at the camp ground.. And for the walleye I've caught them all over the res in the warm months never through the ice just perch..i was only fishing in about 10 to 15 feet of water though.. And it's very possible the eyes have gone alot deeper..
