Chesterfield Ice ????
#68
I love fly fishing.... but geeeze get off your high horses. You give fly fishermen a bad name by saying he is killing fish by putting them on the ice. Laying a fish on the snow or ice is not going to hurt it as long as it is done quickly. At least the fish body is fully supported. Yes, some may take too long when releasing but putting them on the snow or ice, inside a tent like he did, will not harm the fish. In all my years of ice fishing I have never seen the out side of the skin of a fish damaged by the ice or snow. When a fish is pulled out of the hole the ice becomes wet and slick, no worse than a wet hand gripping them. Ice even takes off less slime then a hand.

Any research on this that proves that it does kill fish?
