Nah. I know we're all a little tight these days but the nice thing about fishing is even if you buy high quality stuff, it's still relativly cheap compared to other sports. So you drop $200 on a very good reel. A golfer will spend that much to play a round of golf! You can aquire what you need over time, and that includes multiple rods and reels, lures, boxes, boats, etc. It sounds like a huge expense but believe me, time goes by fast. So do your paycheques. Just put aside a little money every month to pay your way and don't regret investing in your enjoyment.
