Tubedude, got to agree with you there. Dissolved oxygen levels are quite good for fish, especially early in the ice fishing season. Also their metabolism is lower, so they can handle being laid out on the ice for a brief moment or two. Flygoddess, you probably have no problem deep water nymph fishing in the middle of July when the air temperature is in the 90's and the water temperature is pushing 70. Uh, guess what is more harmful for the fish? Dragging a fish up through the water column in 25' of water in the dead hot heat of summer or ice fishing????
