First of all, I recommend you purchase a book on the basics of fishing. I'm assuming that if you have access to a computer, you've got the cash to have a fishing book imported to your home. That will help you a lot.
The very first thing you need to do is research what types of fish are in your area, so you know how to fish for them. There is an old saying that is very true:
"10 percent of the fisherman are catching 90 percent of the fish."
What that means is, out of all the fisherman that try to fish, only 10 percent are successful. I've found this to be true in my area, as i'm one of the ones in the 10% percent club. Many a day i've watched boats around me not catching a thing, while we steadily fill the cooler. Why? I research the fish and target each species specifically. That sounds complicated, but it's really not.
So, order a book about basic saltwater fishing. Research the species of fish in your area. Then, apply the tactics from the book based on the species of fish you're targeting, and a magical thing will happen; you'll start catching fish. [
