He made a mistake, he will pay for it. Its frustrating as all get out, but its being taken care of.
I believe this is why we don't have many trophy fisheries and (depending on who you talk to) the ones we have are declining. More and more people are fishing these days, and with that come a certain percentage of idiots. This is an incident where the poacher got caught, but how many times throughout the year does this happen without punishment? I bet the number would disgust all of us.
There are so many people who use the outdoors that have ZERO respect for it. I'm sure all of us on here at one point have had others call us crazy for what we do to have the opportunity to chase fish. They are usually non-fisher people who just don't understand the pull of fishing, which is fine. But, there are people who fish that carry a similar attitude; Its just a stupid fish, there are plenty of fish, I'm only keeping the big ones, regulations aren't serious, I paid for a license so I'm ENTITLED to do whatever I want. It drives me absolutely nuts that people like mentioned above are even allowed to fish! If its just a stupid fish to you then please, don't fish!! I know all of us on here love fishing, but its scary to think about what happens that we never see. I hope people can see why regulations are in place and obey them. A fishery, especially a trophy fishery like Henrys hang in a delicate balance. People could easily make a huge impact on Henrys and those giant hybrids, trophy brook trout, and big Yellowstones could be a thing of the past.
I know most of that was way off subject..................oh well
