Yeah the winter is great you don't go home all sun beaten n sweaty and its almost spooky quiet out there.
But last winter I bank fished mead every weekend and almost always found myself stumped. Not getting into much action with lures including the cat bite with bait compared to other times of year.
So this year I decided to put mead off for the winter and focus more on the northern NV trout reservoirs up near elko. Wildhorse res is hot during the winter even though it freezes over. It has caused me to spend countless dollars on ice fishing gear.
Last time I was out at echo bay it looked like they were doing some kind of construction near the closed down fish cleaner n bathrooms maybe a new ramp. Did you see any progress?
