I am a fallible person and in no position to judge. But I am approaching an age where I can begin to offer some seasoned thoughts:
Use you whatever rod and reel you are going to use with your concious as your guide.
Do you respect the resource?
Do you respect the sport?
Do you respect yourself?
Do you treat the guy fishing on the river next to you as you expect to be treated?
If the majority of the fisherman on the river can answer yes to all of the above....the river and the fish should be around for generations to come.
If the majority of the fisherman answer yes to only some of the above questions, with "No" and "depends" for the other questions.....then (in my opinon) get em while you can and make sure we document the experience........so future generations can read about it.......instead of experiencing it themselves....
