Does every lake freeze over?

I have heard that some of the backwaters and side channels on Strike freeze, but the deeper areas and main channels stay open. Personally, you could not pay me enough to go tromping around on any of those reservoirs.

I've never ice fished, and I'd like to try it out. But if I go this year, I'll be heading to Cascade.
