I don't think anyone is trying to stereo type here. For myself I am not too surprised that the bass are still in Deep Creek. I used to catch them there in the north end - they were mostly small buggers though, but the small ones are what I usually catch anyway!
I think that the small mouth are spreading rapidly in the whole Bear river system. They seem to do better than lmb in going up small streams and canals.
Interesting on the Bull trout and crappie in the Portneuf. I bet F&G would love to have a picture of the Bulls especially. Maybe if they knew, we could get some action on cleaning the river up more.
For myself I love catching crappie and wish that we had more reservoirs that had them in it. I think that in the years past they tried to plant them in American Falls res, but they didn't seem to take. Now we know where they went!! They planted catfish in there too, have you caught any of them?
