Quiet on the Salmon area Steelheading?
#14
Great fish steelfan and yes i agree with you about wild fish fighting harder than the hatchery fish but i have to say something and i m not trying to offend you because there is the possability that you dont know this ....................... .....................but laying those fish in the dirt and rocks before letting them go is not the proper way to release those fish. im sorry to say this but there is a really good chance that those fish will not make it to spawn now.if you want to get a picture of a fish that needs to go back in the water it should go directly from a net that never leaves the water to a quick pose in your hands to right back in the water. again im not meaning to be offensive or start anything with you. steelheading is what i love and i am very passionate about keeping it around for a very long long time so that a may share it with my grandchildren some day. we owe it to those wild fish to make sure they get back in the water safely. especially after the fight they give you on the end of that line.[Wink]
