yeah i saved about $12 just modifying a minnow trap(cut the hole bigger with some diags) i put the minnow trap and crawdad trap next to eachother at bass pro and the only difference was the size of the hole. so i went to wal-mart where wifey gets a discount and got a minnow trap and cut the hole a half inch or so wider. and whaa-laa instant crawdad trap. 7.00 compared to 19.00? i'll take tha cheaper price.
