Thanks for the great story Ron. I grew up in Eastern Oregon and Unity Reservoir was one of the places my Dad took me when I was a kid. Salmon eggs on treble hooks were the ticket in the early 70's. As far as your uncle, I had a similar experience with my Dad a few months before he died. I took him to the Caldwell ponds and he fished from his wheelchair off the dock and actually caught a few trout. It was cool but he didn't care about catching fish - all he wanted was one more chance to go fishing with his kid.
