Cascade, Horsethief, Warm Lake, or...?
#3
Well, the decision was to try Horsethief and we were very impressed with the reservoir! Very nice place that we would expect to spend more time there camping in the future, even have a campsite picked out to reserve!

On to the fishing...Fishing 9am to 12:30 or so in the tube. Fished primarily western side toward middle of the lake (north of the dam itself). Then 1pm to 4pm from the bank while resting/eating/etc. Then back out in the tube 4:30 to 6:30 going more towards the dam. Fished from shore for about 45 mins after that until it got dark.

Tried everything I could think of while in the tube (spin casting) but got skunked in it. Caught 4 Rianbows all in the planter 9-11in size with worms from the shore.

It was amazing right at dark off the dock. Those planters were going crazy jumping! If I had the right fly I could have probably caught my limit inside of 30 mins!

In talking with others that frequent the area they indicate that its all about bait, specifically worms there. Very few other methods (spoons, spinners, etc.) work they indicated.

In any case, nice reservoir to float on, beautiful place to camp. We'll be back there!
