All I know is this.
I will start fishing Jordenelle hard starting Jan 1st with the explicit purpose of geting the new state record SMB. I will fish it every day, all day until I do.
If I catch a 20" fish I will have it weighed. If I catch a 20" the next day I will have it weighed. I will have every fish 20" or more weighed on official scales and certified as to the date until I get that record so I can say I held it and have that winning fish on my wall.
If I kill every bass in that lake over 19" before ice out, that is my right under the new law. I will not stop once I have the record, I will continue with my quest until I catch no fish over 19" in that lake.
Bassrods is right about this being the death blow to all large bass in Jordonelle and I plan to prove him so.
I'll bet cash money that I am the only fisher within 100 miles of lake X who is thinking this way.
