[sly] First off, thanks to all who post on here your tips really are great. I picked up a bass boat a few weeks back and have been getting skunked at Lake Mead 3 weeks in a row. Not this last weekend though! Landed 15 strippers and 4 LMB. (sorry no pics...smart guy didnt take a camera)
I hit the water out of Calville right at 5:30 am Sunday. Hit a few coves and pulled in 4 LMB, the largest was 3.3 lbs. Good action, missed setting the hook on a few fish or it would have been more.
On the way back to the docks at 10:00 (running from the storm clouds) i spotted a huge school of stripers in 70 ft of water and stopped right on top of them. Using a technique i read on here i landed one after the other. It was pretty amazing. All i did was keep them on my finder, drop the spoon over the side, let it hit the bottom, jig a few times and then just reeled it in as fast as i could. Every other drop landed a fish, the biggest was just over 5 lbs. Good times!! Looking forward to hitting it again this coming weekend.
All fish were released.
