All waters vary depending on forage, water temperatures and water quality but on average a largemouth bass at this latitude will reach 3-5 inches by the first winter, 7-10 inches by the second winter and then 12-13 by the end of their third year. After that their growth in length slows down and they put on girth.
Smallmouth bass have a little slower growth. 3-4 inches their first year, roughly 7 inches their second year and 9-10 inches their third year these are averages of course.
