Streamer Fishing

As the water cools on that section I tie alot with white in them- though I tie black and also that brownish green sculpin color. I like a 15 to 20 ft sink tip - maybe 6 ft of 10#. along some of the drift wood piles though it's tough to beat a good spinning rod and a 1/4 oz. jig. A fly is tough to keep in the zone. Last week browns followed the streamer out but when they got out away from the logs that felt unsafe as turned back in. A jig would have stayed right in there longer.
