The take out isn't real good its about a block from the little house on the east side of the river on the dead end road. there are a few wild trout in there but most of them are washouts from above the dam same with the sturgeon. they come threw the radial gates later in the year. fish and game has also planted trout with tags in there jaw some are worth money. they put them in down by burley but they migrate upstream. I have only caught one cat up there below the dam it was on the north side of the river a block below the last set of rapids it was about 7 lbs. caught it while drifting a minnow for trout.
I worked up there at the dam for 4 years and seen a lot of fish caught.
milner is the place to catfish. at 5 mile corner there is a runoff ditch from the canal that dumps back into the river on the south side . fish a minnow there and you can take home a lot of cats from 7 to 15 pounds. all of the fish below were caught in the mouth of that ditch. Its only accessible by the river and is about 6 foot wide you would never think these fish were there. I haven't cat fished in a long time but My buddy's still fish out there and they did really good last year. I might take you up on your offer it sounds fun
