frozen anchovies

[cool][#0000ff]Yes, anchovies WILL work...but not any better than carp meat, minnows or even worms. It is an expensive bait and hard to find in most areas. And when they thaw they are soft and mushy and don't stay on the hook well.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]If you have a well stocked fish market in your area you might want to look for mackerel. Asian markets often have a couple of different kinds. Like anchovies, mackerel is a strong oily fish and cats almost universally love it. Just slice of pieces as you need them...or fillet it and then chunk it up.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Another option is to buy anchovy flavored fish scents. You can fish with any kind of cut bait...or even worms...and put on a couple of drops of anchovy oil for flavoring. Sardine flavor works good too. And don't overlook the crawdad oil. Cats always like 'dads.[/#0000ff]
