Invasive mussels

I dont have a big problem with the sticker it seems it pretty modest compared to the money we spend on gas lures poles and other equipment. But the last thing i would want is someone else washing my boat. I can see some one removing mussels with a putty knife taking a layer of paint with it. I would rather be well educated in taking care of the problem myself instead of relying on other taking care of it for me before and after a launch. Not a problem here yet But have heard stories of waiting in lines at road side check stations.
