Clocktower Bass
#8
went down to clocktower on saturday with my float tube. I started off by using a crankbait that dove around 10ft and got nothing, not to much suprise but it was mostly just to search around until i padled to were i was aiming at fishing at. When i got there is switched to my texas rig salamander, and just dropped it and would jig it up, i was getting quite a few smaller hits, i think they were smaller fish trying to eat it, then i got one big hit but didn't have enough time to set the hook. After fishing for a while more with hits everyonce in a while i switched to a jig and fished my way back. Standing by the steps that lead to the water i was getting small hits again but i ran out of time so i didn't get to switch to a smaller jig, but i talked to a guy that does scuba classes and he told me he sees a lot of smallies were i was fishing, and bluegills by the stairs, but more intresting he told me about a ridge line were there always were trout. next time i go i'll probably try and fine the ridge and drop a worm down there.
