I don't see it as sixes Everet. I think raising the bag limit might be the key if you go with the 20% harvest theory. Why not keep the lake's season like it's been? You want to ice fish, what about Island Park? I know you love to fish for the big ones and rightly so. But give them a rest in certain waters.
Henry's has consistently produced large fish. It's a cycle. You have your up years and down years. If it ain't broke don't fix it. If you want the harvest to go up, raise the bag limit. At least give it a shot. It's easier to do that then to extend the season and rescind it a few years later.

People will fish Henry's Lake even if it was C&R. Most don't fish it for the meat. It's for the big one. I think that speaks for itself by the article's 5% harvest rate, and driving a long distance to get there is just a triviality. Besides it's gorgeous country.
