The main danger is when it is warm and the tanks "Vents" from too much pressure. That will make you butt cheeks pucker if it vents with an open flame near by. That is the reason all campers have vents on the outside where the tanks go, so when they vent, the gas goes to the outside, not inside. Also, if you sleep in the vehicle and the tank vents, the gas is heavier than air and will drop to the floor/sleeping area and suffocate people. This is the reason you can not have any propane appliances in a basement.
