I will admit I am the guy that keeps and eats maybe 2 or 3 fish a year, maybe. I have no problem putting them back. With that being said I do think there are areas that we should thin fish out a bit, ririe is a good example. Some lakes are the same way. Ill keep a few for peolpe that want to smoke them. The problem I have with strict regs is this, sometimes you hook a fish bad, you know its not going to make it but do to regs you can't keep it and use it. Prime example is the south fork. No cutthroats and no exceptions. There are times you hook a cutty and even though you want to release it, you know your tossing a dead fish back in the river. IMO the regs should be lax enough that a guy can take that fish home.

( Upon further thought I realized I don't include brookies in the amount I keep each year...... pan full of 6 in brookies in left over bacon greese......... amazing and that happens 2 or 3 times a season)
