Ant patterns were very effective for the redbands. Used some prince and hares ear nymphs as well. Got lots of strikes on those but they would hit it so fast and I would only hook about one in a dozen strikes. Got almost as many strikes on the ant and would land most fish. Probable just got up to 7000- 7200 ft elevation tops. Do you at least catch some bulls occasionally up higher still?
