On the bears I camped up there last tues night and talked to the host, apparently they have had a bad bear prob this season. Last week he said that it had been 8 days since he had seen one but he had been seeing them about every other day all summer.
For the guys that fly fish and head up that way, plan atleast an hour on birch creek its worth the stop. Had a 100+ fish day up there last tues afternoon.
