DowntownBrowns - thank you for taking the time to make that call. I've had the number on a posty in front of me all day, but have been on one conference call after another.
I know you've probably already decided I'm some dumb stubborn bull-headed Utahn, and you're right about some of that. I was brought up by a scientist, as a scientist - and have always been stubborn about getting PROOF. I've also learned from many internet experiences to not trust everything you're told online. So I defer to official sources for clarification.
I applaud you for reaching out to Fish-n-Game to get the official word, and for sharing it here. Further - going back to the source of this whole mess - your stewardship and concern for protected state resources. The explanation for the Bull-graphic makes sense now too.
I'm just sorry my first "contribution" to the Idaho board has led to such a flurry of contention. I must be a magnet for that kind of whoooeeeee.
It does not seem like a rule the DWR is adamant about enforcing - as one was showed a photo, another helped measure a fish - they seemed most concerned with what has got to be the bottom line - do everything you can to protect the fishes safety, and get them released unharmed to swim another day. I think we can ALL agree on that.
They are some beautiful fish, and I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to experience them, and then learn so much more about them. Named after a Dicken's character - go figure.
Again - shout out to Windriver for his moderating skills and general tact. And pursuing civil online relations.
Peace.
(DTB - I'm going to quote you on Leaky's post - asking about the bull-rules. Hope you don't mind. Maybe we can fish together someday, and laugh about all this. Or ya might just end up throwing me in the lake....)
