I'm using a Fuji Finepix FD20. It's older though and I can't find any more of them on the market, but a few of their newer models have been great that my family has bought! Great battery life, compact and mine has taken quite a beating! All under $200. The next ones I'd recomend are the cannon Powershot series. My mother in law has one and it takes pretty good pics.
