Do yourself a favour and lose the braid. I only use it on my heavy rods. And I've never had anything to do with flourocarbon so I can't say anything about it, but if your fishing for trout with 4 pound line just use mono. I prefer Berkley Trilene. I use the XL in 4 for my light action stuff and XT in 8 for everything else.
